Why we call it Camp

Hi, Marie here.

I'm excited that you're thinking of joining us in this one-of-a-kind creative space. I call it Camp because it's a place to try new things, make stuff, and form friendships with other creative people. Online learning can sometimes feel a bit stuffy, but I've designed my tutorials, techniques and community space to feel a bit like learning around the campfire. But it's better than actual camp; there are no scraped knees, no mosquitos, and you don't have to go home at the end of summer - we'll be here all year long, year after year, to support and encourage you in your knitting adventures. Whether you're a seasoned knitter or just getting your feet wet, there's something here to inspire you. Slip off your shoes and grab your knitting - we'll see you on the inside. -Marie

Knit Camp (Online)

Opens for Enrollment October 2019

  • How does Knit Camp work?

Knit Camp is an online membership program under the umbrella of the Marie Greene Online School. Within Knit Camp you will have access to a growing library of resources and a private membership community. You'll receive a new calendar each month so you'll know what resources will be arriving to your library and when. Each week your Camp library will be updated with one new resource (and these tie-in with the monthly theme). Your weekly resources include video tutorials (like how to over-dye store bought yarn or how to knit a better button band), step-by-step techniques that you can download and print, live video chats with Marie, hacks for modifying patterns you already own, digital knitting patterns by Marie Greene and more. You'll also be invited to our private online social group (kind of like a Facebook group, but much simpler to use and not as hectic) where you can chat with your fellow Campers about your knitting adventures, share your projects, and more.

  • Can I register anytime?

Knit Camp opens its doors for registration 4 times a year - once per quarter. Registration will remain open for 1 week during each open period. New Campers may only join during open enrollment periods. Our next enrollment opens October 2019.

  • How much does Knit Camp cost?

The retail price for Knit Camp is $24.95 a month.

  • What if I miss the registration cut-off?

Unfortunately, when the doors close, they close. However, registration will open again next quarter and we'd love to have you!

  • Do I get to keep the resources?

Any files you download while you're a member are yours to keep forever, and as long as you're a member, you'll have unlimited access to re-watch or re-download the resources in your library. And guess what? Since new content is being added every single week, all year long, year after year, you can remain a member for as long as you like and keep enjoying the benefits. You will also receive a minimum of 12 unique knitting patterns per year (one per month) as part of your membership.

  • Can I cancel anytime?

Absolutely - If you're not delighted with your experience at Knit Camp, you may cancel any time. However, please note that there are no refunds - neither on the annual membership nor the monthly membership. If you cancel and change your mind, you will need to wait until the next open enrollment period to rejoin. (Please note: If you received a special discount when you registered, that discounted price will not be available if you cancel and register again at a later date.)

  • What's the skill level for Knit Camp?

Knit Camp resources range from adventurous beginner to advanced - with something for everyone. We include video lessons, live Q&A, printable lessons, photo tutorials and an eager support team of Camp Counselors (hee hee) to make sure you get the most from every lesson.

  • Who is welcome at Knit Camp?

Everyone. We are a welcoming space and we invite knitters from every walk of life to be part of our vibrant community. We have a no-tolerance policy for hate speech, bullying and racism.
